Students are afforded the opportunity to participate in numerous extra-curricular programs to enrich their experiences on campus. These extracurricular activities provide a platform for students to explore and develop their interests, whether in the realms of arts, sciences, sports, or community service. Our high school clubs and programs also enhance critical skills such as leadership, teamwork, time management, and communication, while fostering personal growth and building self-confidence.
Teacher Cadet Program
The Teacher Cadet Program attracts students who have demonstrated an early passion for teaching, who would like to explore teaching so that they can make an informed career choice, and students who are mildly interested in the various aspects of teaching and learning. The Teacher Cadet Program is available to students of grades 10, 11, and 12.
Key Club
Key Club is a community service oriented club that aims to help the community in any way feasible. It is student-led which allows members to conduct and participate in service opportunities and build leadership skills and character. The Key Club aims to promote the adoption and application of higher standards in scholarship and sportsmanship, as well as provide a practical means to form enduring friendships, render unselfish service, and build better communities. Specifically, Kingsway’s branch of Key Club aims to better the people and environment and to take the kindness they have received and pay it forward.
Student Council
The Student Council provides students with an opportunity to develop leadership skills and organize projects that serve the entire student body. The Student Council is led by students and monitored by teachers. Students are engaged in planning events that contribute to school spirit, community service, and also serve as a voice of the entire high school student population. The pictures depict the Student Council raising $300 to donate to an elementary student who provides toys and care packages for children in the neighborhood who are in need.
